What's in your bag?

With work and school starting in January, I got the perfect bag to carry around. I live close to public transit and have no use for a car. I take the BMW (Bus Metro Walk) everywhere!

I went to Otakuthon last summer and wanted a cute bag to carry around. This is the bag I got!

The image was taken here. It is not my image, I wish I could take pictures like that! The bag comes with a hanging pouch that you can clip on the side, as displayed in this photo but I took mine off.

Naturally. I had to get it and I ordered it from Amazon. They come in different colours but I chose the all black one.I always wanted a school bag like in the animes! This bag is amazing! It is perfect for public transit, it can easily fit on the floor between my legs without taking up too much room. It is a huge pet peeve of mine when you are in a crowded metro and some yahoo decides to keep their school bag on and it is digging into you! I don't want to be THAT person!

I got some cute pins and the dangly thing on the left side are from a dealer at Otakuthon (a yearly anime convention that is held here in Montreal) I knew they had to go on this bag. They are from Yuri On Ice. If you haven't seen the anime, I highly recommend you do! It is such a beautiful, LGBTQ story!  These items came from a surprise bag. I regret not going back for the Demon Slayer-themed surprise bag. These items are so cool!

On the right-hand side, you will see No Face from Spirited Away dangling. No face is awesome! If I remember, I found it on Alliexpress many years ago. I don't think these items are licensed anime merch but they are cute.

In the middle, I got a moon stick from Sailor Moon except there is a Pokeball in the center! I do have lots of geeky pins on a bulletin board in my house as well as some more goth-themed ones but I felt like displaying my love for anime on this bag. I mean, this bag is a replica of a Japanese school bag after all! It goes well together!

The bag can fit quite a lot of items too, which is nice! If this bag can survive a packed con, it can survive me taking the metro! It is pretty sturdy on the outside but I am not a fan of the flimsy material that was used for the interior.

For the record, I can fit several books in this bag but since I am currently reading the first three Dragonlance books that are combined into one big book, I have only been lugging this around with me. It does take up a lot of space and is bulky. My shoulders and back are thanking me! I usually carry a manga, a book of poetry, and/or a novel or two. This all depends on what mood I am in when I go to read! Yes, I am that nerdy and love to read. What better time to do it than when you are on the bus or the metro?

If you check the "reading list" section of this blog, you can see what I am currently reading.

I always carry a small makeup case. I actually got this in the mail from Japan as a present since I am an International member of the official Sailor Moon fan club! I pay a membership fee every year which entitles me to buy fan club exclusive merchandise, as well as, get a small gift and membership card for signing up. The cat is what is supposed to be Luna but it is kinda derpy looking, which makes it all that much cuter in my opinion! There is nothing much in the case.

The Stargazer concealer powder is usually used as a mirror, I have one of my favourite shades of lipstick (Cut Throat Love by Jeffree Star) as well as a clear lip gloss that has sparkles in it (also by Jeffree Star) I also have some elastics in case I want to tie my hair back.

It is very important to carry your wallet. I got this one a while ago and I love it! Perfect for someone who will be studying English literature!

What is not displayed in the photos are my wireless headphones, a must-have when you are taking public transit! I got a pair of Skull Candy headphones and they are not earbuds or the ones that go in your ear. Those annoy the hell out of me! Plus, I use them as earmuffs in the winter! Win, win! I also carry a small travel sized pack of Kleenex but I am sure no one wants to see a picture of those!

Speaking of public transit, the No Face dangly thingy that is seen on my bag in the second photo came with a cardholder. I use this for my metro pass or Opus card as fellow Montrealers call it. It is so much easier to pull out than digging in my bag for my wallet! Plus, who can resist No Face? The opus card is on the other side in a clear, sturdy plastic to facilitate scanning to enter the metro.

Let's not forget lunch! I usually put my lunch in here too! I use this cute Totoro bag!

Coffee...the most important beverage of the day, especially in the mornings! When my travel mug is full, I carry it around. If its empty, it's in my bag and I swear, everything fits inside! This bag must have Time Lord Technology or something because it seems to be bigger on the inside! If you know me in real life, it is not unusual to see me with a coffee in hand. I got this Card Captor Sakura travel mug when I was subscribed to the Yumetwins monthly subscription box. Every month, I used to receive Kawaii items from Japan.

Lastly. my famous planner! Got to love how I decorated it!

What essential or must have items do you carry in your bag?
