Sailor Moon FigPins are here and where to find them!

Sailor Moon figpins have landed and I couldn't be more excited! While this is more of a lifestyle/creative writing blog, I do plan to occasionally post about grail figures I received. I know this isn't really a grail figure but I was super excited for my Sailormoon Figpin to come in! I know many anime collectors have Figpins on their radar, and I felt like a post would benefit anyone who is a crazy collector like me! I do plan on posting all new figure arrivals in my anime figures tab. I strongly recommend you check it out occasionally!

So let's begin, shall we?

What is a Figpin?

Just like its name, it is a figure and it is also a pin! They stand about 3 inches tall. You can either wear them as a pin or you can display them like a figure. Each Figpin comes with a special stand for displaying them! I can personally say that the pin I received (Sailor Moon) is really well done. The paint is very vibrant and there are no inaccuracies. In fact, the pin is incredibly cute and I can't wait to get more!


What kind of Figpins are there?

So far, Figpin has many licenses for Disney, video games, anime ( for example Sailor Moon, Attack On Titan, Demon Slayer, Funimation, and My Hero Academia is coming soon!) sports, popular television shows and cartoons (such as Stranger Things, Sponge Bob, Scooby Doo, etc) Feel free to check Figpin's website for more details!


Event Exclusive rare Figpins/Convention Exclusive Figpins

Some Figpins were released exclusively for conventions. For example, there were some Sailor Moon Figpins available at the Emerald City Comic Con that were exclusively made for this event. Unfortunately, I missed out on this because I live nowhere near this convention! Boo!

What makes Figpins so unique and where can I find them? 

If you look at a Figpin itself, it is very common to think that it is simply an overpriced pin! On the other hand, what makes this item stand out is how exclusive some of them are. For instance, the regular Sailor Moon one is so easy to find, however, the other Sailor Scouts are not as common and you have to really search for them. 

For example, I was able to find my Sailormoon Figpin quite easily. I found her while I was perusing Sailormoon items on the Big Bad Toy Store website.

Remember the other Sailor Scouts? Well, I snatched them up by purchasing them on the Chalice Collectibles website. Being Canadian, normally shipping on international items can be quite pricey but it was reasonable for me! I can't wait for them to arrive!

I see that you can also purchase Figpins off their website but I never had much success with this! They really want to make you hunt for them, which is only more appealing to me! 


Why Figpins are a collectors dream (or nightmare) and why you should take them out of their original packaging

Most collectors prefer to keep their collectibles in their original boxes/packaging. Figpin encourages you to actually open the packaging because each pin has a special code on the back! With that special code, you can enter it on the app (it's free to use!) and you can see stats from your figure and how rare it is. With my Sailor Moon Figpin, I got to see that my pin is a first edition and other interesting stats. I also can eventually use this character to battle other characters. At the time of this posting, this feature is not available yet but will hopefully be soon!

If you are not familiar with her videos, she is a Sailor Moon collector and she was the one who helped me find the other Sailor Scout Figpins! I simply watched her video and screamed at my screen when she showed us where we can purchase all the Sailor Scouts! Ochibawolf seems to be a really sweet person who is very passionate about Sailor Moon. She puts my collection to shame and I have A LOT of Sailor Moon merchandise! I would love to meet her and hang out with her in real life!

The discombobulated life of a corp goth

I thought I was prepared by laying out my clothes the night before. I forgot that most of my corp goth outfits don't quite fit me due to the weight gain that happened over the pandemic. The conclusion of my first semester as a University student has finally arrived, and with it comes a much-needed moment of respite. The weight of essays and finals has been lifted from my shoulders, allowing me to take a deep breath and shift my focus towards my job search. Looking back, I realize that I might have underestimated the academic rigor of University-level coursework, especially as an undergraduate, first semester student who hasn't been in school for about 20 years!  Only towards the end of the semester did I realize that I should have started with lower-level courses (level 200) instead. I recently posted about how I set personal goals for myself because this helps me to stay on track when it comes to my depression and anxiety.
